What Should I be Paying to have a video produced?
There are no easy answers here, but we at LPN try to keep it simple. So much depends on whether you are taking your own drone and walkthrough footage. Clearly, if you have someone on your team who can provide professional quality content, you’ll save money. Keep in mind though that poor quality shines through and can potentially do more harm than good, so tread lightly. As far as narration goes, I can not stress strongly enough the merits of outsourcing this to a professional. There is so much that goes into achieving studio quality sound. Good voiceover artists have years of experience interpreting copy, designing a quality sound booth, and investing in professional gear. Holding an iPhone as you walk through a home gives the impression of cutting corners. Again, more harm than good. Here is a list of steps that might help you wrap your head around the process:
Start with the listing and elaborate on this to craft a story (If you do this in-house, great! If not, find a good copy writer. FYI, LPN provides these services!).
Drone and video photography (Most likely you’ll outsource this. LPN offers these services depending on your location).
Video Editing (You’ll want a professional! Again, LPN has you covered!).
Get that video out there! Have a tech savvy person on your team? Great! If not, a virtual assistant can help you create your own YouTube station and get you set up on all your socials. We at LPN do not provide this as a service, but can refer you to some very talented folks.
That’s it in a nutshell, but if you want an in depth look at general rates, I’ve provided a great article here. Hope it helps!
